What we can say so far

Hosted with us, Gansey core is free. Self-hosted, core updates are paid for.

Prices, what is included with modules, and moving between the two are still being decided. We will put them here when they are.

What the key does

When the site looks for updates, every few hours, it sends its key, its version and its platform. After an update it tells us once whether the new version started. Nothing else is sent.
Downloads are checked against a signature before they are installed.
A suspended or revoked key cannot install updates. The site itself carries on.
