Getting started
Gansey is one compiled program per site. The gansey binary serves the public pages, the JSON API under /api and the admin under /admin/, all backed by one Postgres database. Pages are rendered on the server; the admin is built into the binary, so there is nothing else to deploy beside it. Modules, written in Gansey Script, add whatever a site needs beyond core.
This section takes you from an empty machine to a running site with its first account: installing and starting the binary, configuring it, choosing an environment, finding your way round the admin, and managing the people who sign in. Once a site is running, Building sites covers pages, themes and content, Running a site covers backups, updates and day-to-day care, and Modules covers writing your own.
